New Delhi: (Geetesh Ujjainwal, Intern Journalist) On Saturday a man who was arrested in the charge of murder his mother in law allegedly died after committing suicide at Tihar jail. The man was found hanging in his cell at jail number 4.
The man, Ravi had stabbed his mother in law with an ice pick and also injured his neighbors who were trying to stop him. However, he was caught by two cops while he was fleeing from the house after the murder.
He was jailed earlier in a POCSO case and was bailed out last year, Police said. His wife and daughter had started residing with his laws after this arrest and refused to return to his house.
Ravi had blamed his mother in law for keeping his wife and child away from him and attacked her. Prima facie probe suggests that Ravi was suffering from depression after being lodged at the jail again for a heinous crime.
