Saloni Subha ( Intern Journalist ): A sanitation worker was lynched in Patna for allegedly raping a girl an eight-year-old girl. The man was later on identified as a sanitation worker.
He allegedly lured them with chocolate, took her inside his house and raped her. “Someone told the girls mother she was last seen with Manjhi. She went to his house and caught him in the act. She raised an alarm after which a mob assembled and assaulted the man with lathis and sticks,” informed police.
After getting informed of the incident, police reached the spot and took Manjhi to the PMCH, where he died during treatment. “The girl was sent to the hospital for medical examination “, the police further informed.
SHO of Agamkuan Police station, Abhijit Kumar, said, “The accused died during the treatment at the PMCH. He was living alone at his house and used to work as a sanitation worker. Two separate FIR will be lodged in this case”.
