(Riya Singh, Intern Journalist): On Saturday, Actor Ranjan Sehgal, best known for his role in the 2016 film ‘Sarbjit’ died due to multiple organ failure. He was 36. Even the actor made a fleeting appearance in the ‘Zero’ of Shah Rukh Khan. He has also been a popular face in the Punjabi industry. He has worked in movies like ‘Yaaran Da Katchup’ and ‘Mahi NRI’.

Several people on Twitter and Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) have also paid their tribute to the actor for the sudden demise. Meanwhile, Ranjan Sehgal had a few TV shows to his credit as well which include “Savdhan India”, “Crime Patrol”, “Tum Dena Sath Mera”, “Kuldeepak” and “Gustakh Dil.”

The year 2020 was not successful for the film industry as it lacked many of its stars. The actors Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor had died in April. Music composer Wajid Khan later died from coronavirus. The suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput stunned the country in June and more recently, veterans of Bollywood- choreographer Saroj Khan and actor Jagdeep have died.
