(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): After the outbreak of Covid-19, excitement is about to return to school-colleges and coaching institutes which have been closed for the last 10 months. The government has approved the opening of schools, colleges, and coaching institutes phase-wise from January 4. School colleges will open for higher classes in the early stages. After review, schools and colleges will be opened for the remaining classes from 18 January. At a meeting of the State Disaster Management Group chaired by Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar on Friday, the decision was taken to open school colleges and coaching institutes with certain conditions.
Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar told after the meeting that after a deep brainstorming meeting of the Disaster Management Group regarding opening of schools, colleges and coaching institutes, it has been decided that schools, colleges and coaching institutes will be opened with certain conditions. Schools will open for students from ninth to 12th before January 4. While colleges will be opened only for final year students.
