(Pooja Dubey, Intern Journalist) Schools from class 9 to 12 will be opened in the state from today onwards after seven months in the corona transition period. The Department of Secondary Education has claimed a strong system to prevent infection in state schools. On the other hand, aided and financially-educated schools have been instructed to make adequate arrangements to protect children from the corona.
However, most of the large private schools will call only the students of class 10th and 12th in view of Corona. Students of 9th, 11th will be called after Dussehra. At the same time, the government schools of UP board and CBSE have decided to call all the students from 9 to 12, whose parents have got the consent from Monday.
Director of Secondary Education Vinay Kumar Pandey said that schools from classes 9 to 12 will be run in two shifts from Monday. The first shift for classes 9 and 10 will be conducted from 8.50 am to 11. 50 am and the second shift for 11 and 12 from 12.20 am to 3.20 pm.
He informed that the district school inspectors and the school management have been instructed to run the schools only as per the Operating Procedure Standards (SOP) issued by the Medical and Health Department. Social distancing will be followed to protect children from the corona. Masks, soap, and sanitizers will also have to be arranged.
Parental consent not being received,
an official of the department said that written consent is not being received from parents in all districts. Without this, the student cannot be allowed to read. The department hopes that once the school opens, parents will start seeing the trends and allow them.
