Deepanshi Mishra (Intern Journalist) Mumbai: A student lost his seat for a four-year electrical engineering course because of clicking on a wrong link meant for withdrawing the process. The student is Siddhant Batra from Agra. So he appeals to the supreme court for admission to the institute. Now, IIT Bombay refuses to intervene as seats are full and allotted to students.
This is the high time for Siddhant Batra to apply again next year for JEE Advance. The Bombay Highcourt ask IIT to consider Batra’s petition. He claimed in the plea for many statements. Because of some mistake of clicking the wrong link, he cannot take risk of preparation. Batra requested IIT to undo his loss by creating one more additional seat.
The student deserves to get select again. He mentions in a plea about living with his grandparents and lost his father. He worked hard to secure that rank all over India but this happened so he needs to be calm and focus. Candidates withdraw before the final round and the acceptance fee gets a refund.
