(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) New Delhi; Air India has ended the training of around 180 young trainee cabin crew who joined last November. The airline has confirmed the news. The trainees are to be given a job after the completion of the course.

This week a letter given to the selected crew members which said “in looking to the current aviation situation, it is not possible for Air India to proceed any further training to you for fixing your services. In relation to the above reasons, which are not in control for the company, it has been decided to stop the training arrangement and dispense with the offer of engagement with immediate effect. The bank guarantee provided by you during the joining is returned herewith.”

All were provided with some money in lieu of the notice period. The travel industry has been the worst during the pandemic.
