Bokaro airport will be connected with Patna, Kolkata through Udan flights:  AAI

(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist): The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is developing Bokaro Airport to operate the aircraft and will be connected to Patna and Kolkata through the regional connectivity scheme ‘Udaan’. This was stated in an official statement. Currently, the Bokaro Airport in Jharkhand is controlled and managed by the Steel Authority of India (SAIL) and operates SAIL planes or VIPs. “AAI is developing the airport at an estimated cost of Rs 46 crore to start operating the flights,” it said in a statement on Friday.

Under this, terminal building, car parking, ATC (air traffic control) tower, security ring, the fire station will be provided. The airport will be ready soon. The city will be connected to Patna and Kolkata under the ‘Udaan’ scheme.
