(Riya Singh, Intern Journalist): The actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya both tested positive for coronavirus, hours after the infection was contracted by her husband Abhishek Bachchan and father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan. The rest of the members of the family- Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, and her daughters Agastya and Navya Naveli-checked COVID-19 as negative. Earlier in the day Aishwarya and Aaradhya were said to have tested negative. Yet their final test reports came on Saturday at 2.30 pm.
On Saturday night, Amitabh Bachchan revealed about his illness via social media, and minutes later, Abhishek also said he had screened coronavirus positively. The father-son couple is reportedly being admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai.
In the morning a sanitation drive was performed at the Bachchans’ Jalsa residence and a team of doctors also arrived to take samples of those whose tests were pending. Their home is now a containment zone, and nobody can enter or exit the place.
