(Rishitha Jaladi, Intern Journalist)Vijayawada: The best and the worst thing about love is that it cannot be expressed in words. This entire building called the world is built on a strong foundation called love-unconditional love! For centuries today love is described as one of the best feelings on the planet, and this feeling can bring joy in a broken heart.

People are complex networks of love, kindness, selfishness and aggression. Enabling the opposite coexist is the essence of the dialectic. Individuals are not selfish or selfless, they are selfish and selfless. Love and selfishness are two sides of a coin with two different motives: love constructs, selfishness destructs.

Consciously or unconsciously we have taken so much to build our system, our body, our mind. We took a lot from this society, this culture, this world and we have to give back, make our contribution in any small way possible with love and selflessness. that is real KARMA YOGA. In fact, happiness is the most beautiful outcome of love. Hence we have to keep our feelings, thoughts, words, and deeds free from all stain. Let them be shiny like stars and lovely like lilies. Perform every action with the utmost perfection. Let our every moment give us a sense of fulfillment only then we can be flawless. Only love can attempt to generate smiles in the faces of others in spite of the gales that are raging within us.

The present population is about 7.3 Billion, among them 1.85 Billion people live in extreme poverty, 20 million people die of malnutrition, 25 million dies of deadly diseases, just because selfishness dominates love. The rich become richer and the poor become poorer. Nature itself is a wonderful example of love. Trees pass on fruits, wood, of their sweat with love for the enjoyment of others. But we selfish Homo sapiens destroy them for our needs we simply “use and throw”. we humans with a well-developed mind and heart don’t even hold the values trees have today! We lack love for our own family, own parents, own siblings. This is quite evident with the increase in the number of old age homes today. Man-made barriers like ego, selfishness have flooded this society. Where we forgot the true meaning of Humanity.

. Technology is tearing love apart in family life. We live in a fast-paced world. Technology, the internet, gadgets, made us selfish and confined to ourselves. This is an antithesis of love. It cripples our thoughts, hearts, and souls.

We don’t live in a world that is not selfish. We are not selfless, neither of us. We are involved in a whirlpool of desire than to believe in loving others. Selfish and selfless are two small words. We can just fix them at the place and maintain a balance between those two words only when words like ‘I’, ‘me’, and ‘mine’ change to ‘we’, ‘us’, and ‘ours’.

One man with courage will make the majority! It’s not me, it’s not you, it’s all of us. Come together and love each other. The selfless may be glamour less, but they can never be honourless. The selfless may be comfortless but they can never be cheerless. The selfless may be powerless but they can never be flavorless. By helping others with the love we are in fact, helping ourselves. On the other hand, we harm ourselves by being selfish. Whenever you perform a good or a bad action it is reflected in the universal consciousness. Hence enjoy being selfless and do what can promote love, because however capable and intelligent one may be, one grows only through, and with others. Selfish acts can build walls of separation, demolish bridges of unity. Love has the power to make even the goats and lions live in harmony under one roof! Only then we will be more attractive than The moon and The stars, more fragrant than Roses and Jasmines and more sparkling than Pearls and Diamonds!
