This partnership is to make India 2G free.
Since 2G is still used in India and the company’s target is 2G users. In the coming years, the company will try to attract 2G users through cheap 4G and 5G smartphones like the company did with 4G. The operating system designed by Jio and Google will be Android-based. Google Play Store will also be supported in this, that is, the apps of the Play Store can be downloaded.
Significantly, the company has not told when this phone will be launched and what its price will be. Talking about JioPhone, it was launched by the company for Rs 1,500, after which JioPhone 2 was launched, which was priced at Rs 2,999. Before the AGM, it was reported that during this time the company can announce JioPhone 3. but that did not happen. The company has not given any timeline for the launch of the new 4G / 5G smartphone.
