(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist)Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has once again reiterated his claim regarding the Citizenship Amended Act (CAA). He said in Kolkata on Friday that the CAA would apply. Law has its place and this is the resolve of the Central Government. Amit Shah reached West Bengal on a two-day tour.
Here, he took stock of BJP’s preparations for the upcoming assembly elections and also met local leaders. Explain that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been against the CAA. He even said that to implement the CAA in Bengal, I have to go through my dead body. Mamta Banerjee had targeted the central government and said that if you want to sack my government, then do it, but I will never allow the CAA to be implemented in West Bengal.
At the same time, now Amit Shah has given a direct challenge to Mamta Banerjee by giving this statement in Kolkata. Now it has to be seen how Mamta Banerjee reacts to Amit Shah’s statement.
