Saloni Subha ( Intern Journalist ) while addressing the Nation on the eve of the 74th Independence day, President Ramnath Kovind informed that this year’s celebration will be restrained due to coronavirus he also praised the government for its efforts in combating the virus.
“On the strength of these extraordinary efforts, in our vast country with densely populated and diverse circumstances, this challenge is being faced. State governments acted according to local circumstances. The public also gave full support”, he said.
“The Government has given livelihood to crores of people by launching “Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana”, to reduce the pain of losing jobs due to the epidemic, moving from one place to another and disrupting life”, he said. Prasing the defense forces, President Kovind commended the soldiers for “giving befitting response to any attempt of aggression”.
Regarding the recently launched national education policy, he said it spelled a “long term vision with far-reaching impact.”
