(Bhagya Luxmi, Intern Journalist) During the last 24 hours, 24,491 patients of COVID-19 have recovered after treatment. With this, the total number of people recovering from COVID-19 infection has increased to 7,24,577 to date.
The rate of recovery from this disease has improved further, which has now risen to 62.72%.
It has also ensured that the death rate of COVID deaths in India has come down to 2.43% which is one of the lowest mortality rates worldwide and is steadily decreasing.
The difference between the number of people recovering from COVID-19 disease and the number of patients infected by it has just increased to 3,22,048. There are currently 4,02,529 infected patients and all are under medical supervision.
3,33,395 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. A total of 1,43,81,303 samples have been tested in the country so far. This is possible due to the ever-increasing number of laboratories. At present 1274 laboratories are functioning across the country including 892 in the public sector and 382 in the private sector.
