(Rishitha Jaladi, Intern Journalist) Ananthapuram: A couple who were in Home Isolation committed suicide by jumping off the third floor in Ananthapuram on Sunday.
According to Anathapur Police, DSP Ramakanth stated that a Phani Raj and Sireesha were a happy couple, but they were tested COVID positive on July 25th. They got treated in a government hospital and recovered. Hence, they were sent home asked to stay in home Isolation. But suspiciously, the couple committed suicide on Sunday by jumping off from the third floor.
The reason behind the suicide is not yet known as the police didn’t find any suicide note. But they suspect that it was due to depression. Raj’s father who lives on the second floor alone also suffered from COVID and completely recovered.
