(Rishitha Jaladi, Intern Journalist) Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Government has Pigeonholed Karnataka and Telangana are at High Risk as the Number of COVID cases increased. These states issued new Guidelines for Quarantined as the people coming from Telangana and Karnataka to Andhra are mostly tested positive for COVID.
Initially, Telangana and Karnataka were listed as Low-risk states but now, according to the recent analysis and statistics, it’s clear that these neighboring states were at high risk. 661 people who came from Karnataka and 80 people who came from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh were tested Positive, adding to 31,301 cases in the state.

Hence all the people coming back to Andhra Pradesh, by Air, Road and Rail are tested and sent to paid Quarantined centres for 14 Days. Those who can stay quarantined at home were given grants based on the facilities they have. Jawahar Reddy, Principal Secretary of Health and family welfare, Andhra Pradesh gave strict guidelines to Collectors about Quarantine.
