(Rishitha Jaladi, Intern Journalist)America: Apple’s latest iPhone update has scared almost most of the Instagram users. Latest ios version-iOS 14 beta users were worried about their privacy when they got to know that Instagram was secretly using the camera in the background.
Some of the iOS latest version users reported that there was a “Camera On” Notification on their mobile screen showing that Instagram is secretly accessing camera in the background. These version users sent numerous complaints regarding this issue, complaining if a well known and used app like Instagram cannot assure security and privacy, what about the rest of other apps?
But Instagram owners objected saying, there was a Bug issue we found on a new version of iOS and we are working on it. We don’t access your camera until you give access, for feed…etc. Your privacy and safety is our main priority.
