(Juhi Aishwary, Intern Journalist): Army Chief General MM Narwane is having a conference with top Army commanders from today. Army Chief General MM Narwana has started the Conference of Army Chiefs presiding over the conference. The top commanders of the army are participating in this meeting. In this meeting, all the security issues including the situation arising due to China in Ladakh will be discussed.
Actually, a three-day conference of army commanders is starting from Wednesday. In this, only the situation arising due to China in the East Ladakh region will be discussed specifically. Army spokesman Aman Anand told that the first phase of the conference will run from 27 May to 29 May and the second phase will be in the last week of June. The conference was earlier scheduled to be held from April 13 to 18 but was postponed due to Corona.
PM Modi holds meeting with top military leadership
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday (May 26) reviewed the entire situation with the country’s top military leadership amid increasing activities of Chinese troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) of India and China. The meeting was attended by National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat, and the heads of the three armies.
According to sources, in this meeting with the Prime Minister, the strategy of dealing with the situation of potential challenges of China was also discussed. Following the tensest period of the 2017 Indian and Chinese troops fighting in Doklam, the encroachment of Chinese troops into the Ladakh border region has become a serious issue.
China’s growing flaws!
The Chinese claim on the Galvan valley in the Ladakh region of India has further increased its tussle amid the increasing activity of Chinese troops along the Line of Actual Control of India and China troops along the Ladakh border. On the other hand, there are reports of increasing activities of Chinese soldiers in the Harshil sector associated with China with Uttarakhand-Himachal Pradesh.
However, this has not been officially confirmed yet. By the way, India is also constantly indicating that it is not ready to back down on the whole matter.
