Coronavirus continues to wreak havoc across the country. Meanwhile, a heart-breaking incident has come out from Aurangabad in Maharashtra. Here a freight train crushed the migrant laborers on the rail tracks. This accident happened near Aurangabad’s Jalna railway line, in which 15 laborers have died. The accident took place on the Aurangabad-Jalna railway line around 6.30 am on Friday.
In fact, according to the information, at about 6.30 am on Friday, a freight train passed over the workers on the track and more than a dozen workers died in the accident. All these migrant laborers were walking to their home in Chhattisgarh and stayed near the tracks to rest.
Local administration and railway officials have reached the spot after the incident.
The Chief Public Relations Officer of South Central Railway says that an accident has taken place near Karma in Aurangabad, where an empty coach of the goods train has gone over some people. RPF and local police are present on the spot.
Workers were trapped all over the country due to the lockdown caused by the Coronavirus. Thousands of laborers were walking towards their village and house on foot from many places. In such a situation, hundreds of laborers used the railway track to stop at night.
Recently, the workers were allowed to be sent back to their state by the Central Government. After which the state governments arranged buses and called their laborers.
Apart from this, special labor trains have also been run by the Railways, which are transporting the laborers to their state.
When the lockdown was first announced since then lakhs of workers were stuck where they were. Workers involved in food and employment had gone towards their villages on foot, even before some of the accidents on the way, the migrant workers have lost their lives in the past.
