There has been a huge decline in sales from Hero MotoCorp, TVS Motor Company, and Bajaj Auto to Royal Enfield.
Here is the sales report of four big companies making two-wheelers, which have suffered heavy losses in the Corona era.
Hero Motcorp(26.8 percent sale decrease)
The world’s largest two-wheeler company, Hero MotoCorp (Hero MotoCorp) sent 4,50,744 units to dealerships in June. The company’s sales were up by 400 percent over May 2020. But if compared to June 2019, the company’s sales have fallen by 26.8 percent. The company sold 1,12,682 units in June 2019. The company’s plants remained closed in April and May (more time) due to the lockdown due to the Corona virus. The company sold 5,63,426 motorcycles and scooters during April-June 2020.
TVS Motor Company: 36 percent decrease in sales
TVS (TVS Motor Company) has lost 36 percent of its sales in the Indian market in June 2020. The company sold 1,44,817 units in India in June 2020. Whereas, in June 2019, the company sold 2,26,279 units.
Bajaj Auto: 26 percent decrease in sales
Bajaj Auto lost 26 percent of its sales in June 2020. The company has sold 1,46,695 units in June 2020. Whereas, in June 2019, the company sold 1,99,340 units. The company has suffered a 29 percent decline in exports. In June 2020, the company has exported 1,08,427 units. Whereas, in June 2019, the company exported 1,51,951 units. The company sold 1,85,981 vehicles in the Indian market during April-June 2020. Whereas, in April-June 2019, the company sold 6,10,936 units. That is, the company has suffered a 70 percent decline during this period compared to last year.
Royal Enfield: 34% decline in sales
Royal Enfield has lost 34 percent of its sales in the Indian market in June 2020. The company has sold 36,510 units in India in June 2020. Whereas, in June 2019, the company sold 55,082 units. At the same time, the company has also faced a decline in exports. The company has exported 1,555 units in June 2020 at a steep decline of 52 percent. Whereas, in June 2019, the company exported 3,257 units.
