(Pooja Dubey, Intern Journalist)China is now facing bacterial infections after the coronavirus attack. More than three thousand people have been found infected with a bacterial infection in northeastern China. The bacteria spread after leaking into the government biopharmaceutical plant producing the vaccine.

Chinese health officials say that brucellosis bacteria have been found in 3,245 people in Lanzhou, with a population of about 3 million. However, no patient has died of this bacterial infection yet. The disease is not spreading from humans to humans but can be spread using animals or animal products.

The disease is named Malta or Mediterranean fever, the main symptoms of which are fever, joint pain, and headache. In view of this disease, 1,401 people have been tested after screening 22,000 people. Some symptoms remain for a long time due to infection and there are some symptoms that may never go away completely.

The Chinese administration says that the biopharmaceutical plant used expired disinfectants. Brussel vaccine is made in this plant. Because of this, bacteria are never completely eliminated from factory exhaust. The gas coming out from here became aerosol and reached Lanjhu Veterinary Research Institute with air.

Last December, 200 people were found infected in the same factory. Chinese officials said sheep, cattle, and pigs help spread the bacteria. Though the plant has apologized for the incident, the government has withdrawn its license. Now patients will be compensated from October.
