(Juhi Aishwary, Journalist): The Government of Chhattisgarh is strict about the journey given the growing danger of Corona. The state government has suspended passenger transport services indefinitely, with the interstate border sealed. Written notice has also been sent to neighboring states. The concern of the government has increased with the introduction of rail and domestic airlines. In view of this, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has written a letter to the Union Minister of Railways and Aviation on Saturday.
14 day quarantine proposal for air and rail passengers
The CM has advised the transport services to start with caution and protective measures, share passenger details with the states, and quarantine all passengers for 14 days.
Train to point only
Baghel has written a letter to Railway Minister Piyush Goyal regarding railway service. In this, he has said that the rest of the trains should be run point to point i.e. state to state, like Shramik Special trains. To control the passengers’ contact with each other, a maximum of two stops should be kept and from the point of view of physical distance, the number of passengers should be kept below the prescribed capacity.
Chief Minister said- Center to give concession in all classes fare to passengers
He has also requested to give concession in all classes of fares to passengers on humanitarian grounds. CM has said that keeping the number of passengers controlled will help in screening. In order to prevent chain-like events such as chain pulling, chain pullings should be disabled. Chain pulling should not be allowed under any circumstances and strict action should be taken. The CM has said that everyone arriving by train should be made compulsory to stay in a 14-day quarantine.
Complete details of all flights and passengers should be given to the states
CM Baghel has written a letter to Minister of State for Civil Aviation (Independent Charge) Hardeep Singh Puri on the notification of starting a domestic airline. In this, Baghel has said that the information of each flight and detailed description of passengers should be made available to the states. Those traveling by air should be quarantined for 14 days in paid centers operated through the state government. This information should be given to the passengers at the time of booking the tickets so that they are well aware of the rules. This will facilitate the State Governments to take necessary action in relation to the control and rescue of Covid-19 Maha.
