The government of West Bengal has recently worked on a new form of lockdown. At the same time, many rules have also been issued regarding flights coming to Kolkata. The ban on flights coming from major cities in which the corona crisis continues will continue until August 31.
According to the order issued by the Bengal government, Kolkata flights are not allowed to come from cities like Delhi-Mumbai-Pune-Nagpur-Chennai-Ahmedabad. This has been done in view of the coronavirus crisis.
The state government issued this order in July, which has now been extended till 31 August. These cities are counted in the Corona-affected cities in the country. At the same time, the effect is increasing continuously in Kolkata too.
If you look at the latest data, then there are about one lakh coronavirus cases in Bengal. In these, more than 70 thousand people have been cured, while 2100 people have died. There are more than 28 thousand coronavirus cases in Kolkata district in Bengal, while around 1000 people have died. This is why no risk is being taken by the state government.
