(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist); Mamta government has finally agreed to implement the Centre’s ambitious Ayushman Bharat and PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme in the state before the next assembly elections in Bengal next year. Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee has written a letter to the Union Health Minister and the Union Agriculture Minister in this regard and said that the Bengal government is fully ready to implement these schemes of the Center.
However, Mamta has requested the Center that the implementation of these schemes and allocation of funds should be done through the state government. On September 9, the Chief Minister has written a letter to the Center in this regard. In fact, the BJP and the central government have been constantly attacking the Mamta government for not implementing these schemes here. The state government has taken this step even before the BJP was going to raise it loudly in the upcoming elections.
