(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) Bengaluru; Asha Workers are protesting in Bengaluru for the lack of safety equipment. There is a shortage of PPE kits for the workers with the rise in cases of Bengaluru it has created fear for the workers to work without safety equipment.
The cases in Karnataka have crossed over 30,000. The workers are also fighting for their remuneration. They have sent letters to the government for providing proper safety kits and an increase in their salary but have not received any help from the government yet.
It has been a serious issue as the people who were taking care of us during the horrible situation they are not getting any safety equipment.
