(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): Elections are going to be held in Bihar during the crisis of corona infection. The State Election Commission has announced this in due course. No wonder, we are not talking about Bihar Assembly Elections. This is the announcement of the election of the Zilla Parishad president, head, deputy head, sarpanch, deputy’s head. In view of the corona infection, the Election Commission has said to follow its guidelines and conduct safe elections. The Election Commission has directed to conduct elections following the instructions of the Home Department and Health Department.

According to the instructions of the State Election Commission, elections are to be held on 26 and 27 August. These elections are to be held in 12 districts of the state. These include Saran, East Champaran, Western Champaran, Sitamarhi, Darbhanga, Kaimur, Rohtas, Buxar, Bhagalpur, Lakhisarai, Madhepura. Elections will be held in the above districts on August 26. Whereas, the election of Deputy Chief of Panchayat Samiti Dighwara of Saran and Deputy Chief of Village Panchayat Kharhna of Kaimur will be held on 27 August.
