Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist): Lucknow: The shortage of security personnel in state jails will now be overcome. It has been agreed to deploy PAC personnel on the imprisonment for two years. The Prison Department will soon get 4635 jail warders.
The prisoners in prison are over capacity. Therefore, the burden of security on existing personnel is increasing continuously. The prison department requested the government to diagnose the problem. On this proposal, the government has agreed to send PAC personnel for two years per appointment to the security of jails.
The selection process of 3638 captives (jail warders) through direct recruitment is also going to be completed soon. Director-General of Prisons Anand Kumar said that a proposal was sent to the government in the last few days regarding a large number of vacant posts of jail warders, on which the government has served a total of 997 soldiers of PAC on deputation for two years in the service of the jail department Have agreed to send.
IG PAC Ashutosh Kumar has informed the prison department of the order of the government. It has been informed that the consent of the recruited soldiers of 823 PAC selected and currently trained for direct recruitment 2018 has been received.
Consent of the remaining 174 PAC recruitment is awaited which will be made available separately as soon as received. The recruitment process for 3638 posts of jail warders is going on through Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board. The written examination has been completed recently. Soon the problem of security personnel in the prison department will be resolved.
