(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): The Supreme Court has approved the petition filed to ban the Bihar Assembly elections in the Corona era. However, the date on which the hearing will be held and when it has not been decided. Earlier, hearing on two petitions is also pending in Patna High Court. In the petition, the ground has not yet been made for the Election Commission team not to visit Bihar.
It has been said that since the time of Chief Election Commissioner TN Seshan, the Commission team started touring three to four months before the election, but the Commission team has not yet come to Bihar to prepare for the 17th Assembly Election. In the petition, the Supreme Court has been requested to direct the Election Commission to stop the notification of elections till the corona and flood are over.
