(Riya Singh, Intern Journalist) Patna: Actor Rhea Chakraborty should not forget that she is an accused in the case of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, said Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey on Thursday.
The top cop said he used the word ‘aukat’ for Chakraborty, as she made some groundless remarks against the Bihar chief minister despite being an accused in the case that was under the Bihar police. He also said that if she was hurt by his words, he would apologize to the actor, but he advised her to fight the legal battle.
“The meaning of ‘Aukat’ in the English language is stature. Rhea Chakraborty does not have the stature to comment on Bihar CM Nitish Kumar” Pandey said.
Earlier Wednesday, while holding that the FIR filed in Patna over Sushant Singh Rajput’s death was valid, the Supreme Court ordered the CBI to investigate the matter. Justice Hrishikesh Roy’s single-judge bench also said the Bihar Government was able to request that the matter be referred to the CBI. Also, the apex court asked the Mumbai Police to hand over to the CBI all the evidence collected so far in the case. Maharashtra state declined the option of challenging the order, Justice Roy said.
The CBI has filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and others in connection with the death of the actor after the Center approved the request of the Bihar government to move the investigation from Patna in the matter.
