Bihar government again implemented full lockdown

(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist), Patna; The rising pace of corona in Bihar has worried the state government, now more than a thousand new patients are being received every day, due to which the state government has again issued an order to put a complete lockdown in Bihar. According to information received from the Chief Secretary’s Office, a complete lockdown has been done in the state from 16 to 31 July. The Home Department has been ordered to issue a notification. According to the notification, the ban will remain in force in the state from 16 July to 31 July. The government has taken this decision in the meeting of the high officials on Tuesday. In this meeting, the lockdown is finally agreed and ordered after reviewing the growing corona cases in the state. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi has also informed about the complete lockdown in the state.

Corona cases have increased rapidly at the state level in the last few days in the state. In the month of June, where the speed of getting positive cases in one day was two to two and a half hundred, it gained momentum from last week. This speed has now reached 11 to 12 hundred cases daily. In view of the ever-increasing cases, on July 7, Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar held a video conference with the District Magistrates and directed that the DM should assess the growing cases of Corona in their respective areas and decide on partial lockdown on the basis of need. Following the instructions of the Chief Secretary, the first Bhagalpur was followed by partial lockdown in Patna from 10 July. The next day, a partial lockdown was imposed in about 15 districts.

Now the government has decided to take drastic measures regarding the lockdown. The government has decided to brainstorm regarding complete lockdown in the state. The point was reviewed with officials on Tuesday. After this, a simultaneous lockdown has been imposed in the entire state. State Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar had confirmed this, saying that the government was considering a complete lockdown.
