(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): If new schemes taking shape for the workers under the government’s Saat Nishchay Yojana Part 2 program are rapidly implemented, then in the coming years, workers from every sector will be given employment and self-employment opportunities through skill mapping. This work is difficult but the government has also taken this challenge as an opportunity. At present, a plan is being made for mapping skilled and unskilled laborers of the state.
For this, the government has started preparing to collect data of one crore workers with the help of industries like the Department of Industries, Rural Development Department, Labour Resources Department, Department of Agriculture, Forest, Environment and Climate Department, Department of Animal and Fisheries and Department of Panchayati Raj. In the mapping, an attempt will be made to find out which place the workers are well-trained or trained.
In this, help will be taken from the concerned departments of all the districts to get the detailed details of workers at the panchayat, block, and district level in the collection of important data. Once the complete data of the workers is found, training them will help in providing self-employment or new employment opportunities. Based on this data, the registration of workers will also be ensured. Presently 19 lakh laborers are registered under the Department of Labour Resources. Details of migrant workers working in other states will also be collected.
