(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): The government on Tuesday approved 60 proposals in the cabinet meeting with an appointment to 3645 posts. In a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, it was decided to appoint 2669 posts of various categories in the Health Department and 976 posts of different categories in the Law Department.
According to the information received from the Cabinet Department, in the Jannayak Karpoori Thakur Medical College-Hospital Madhepura, with the enrollment capacity of 100 MBBS, MCI accredited educational and non-academic posts including 86 for the medical college and 270 for the hospital, a total of 356 posts were sanctioned given. The proposal for the creation of 1235 posts of various categories has also been approved for the 28 Para Medical Institutes to be opened under the Seven Determinations and seven Para Medical Institutes running from the East.
A total of 539 posts have been approved for the increase in the enrollment capacity of MBBS from 100 to 150 in Pavadhuri Institute of Medical Science and 116 academic and non-academic posts in accordance with the standard, 423 posts for medical college. Similarly, 539 posts have been sanctioned at Government Medical College-Hospital Bettia, to increase the enrollment capacity to 100 MBBS to 150 and to combine academic and non-academic posts as per MCI standard.
