(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): Janata Dal United’s State General Secretary (JDU State General Secretary) and former Legislative Councilor (Ex MLC) Ravindra Tanti died on Friday from Corona. He was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS Patna) in Patna for 10 days, where he was on ventilator support for the last nine days. Ravindra Tanti was once close to the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav. Lalu made him MLC for the first time in 1996, but in 1997, he resigned from his seat to become his MLC to make Rabri Devi the Chief Minister.
Currently, Ravindra Tanti was the state general secretary of JDU. He was also the Chairman of the State Commission of Bihar State Backward Classes. He was a resident of Maksudpur in Fatuha, Patna. There is mourning in JDU with his death.
Executive Chairman of the Council Avdhesh Narayan Singh has expressed condolences. He said that he was a successful and brilliant politician. He continued working till the end of the lower level of the society. He continuously worked for the upliftment of the Tanti-weaver society of Bihar. His simple nature was his identity. Awadhesh Narayan Singh prayed for his soul to give peace and strength to the bereaved family to bear the grief.
