It has also been found in the fourth province of the country. Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture said on Tuesday that a wave of infection has started in the country’s poultry farms, which has been described as the worst epidemic in four years.
The worst outbreak in Kagawa province since 2016. The worst round of bird flu in Japan began last month in Kagawa province of Shikoku Island, which is adjacent to Kyushu Island. 40,000 chickens will be killed and buried at poultry farms in Miyazaki province. At the same time, a ban will be imposed on the trade of chickens within three km of the poultry farm.
The disease was also spread in 2018, due
to this new action by the Japanese government, more than 18 lakh chickens will be killed after the outbreak starts. Japan also had a bird flu pandemic before in 2018. It also originated in Kagawa province. That year 91,000 chickens were killed.
The largest outbreak of bird flu in Japan came between November 2016 and March 2017, when more than 1.6 million chickens were killed. All these chickens were exposed to the H5N6 strain of bird flu.
