(Riya Singh, Intern Journalist): The death of Sushant Singh Rajput left his followers and loved ones heartbroken as well as it also led to some controversy and debates. The late actor had died as a result of suicide at his Mumbai residence according to police sources and media accounts. Certain sections of people, though, are unable to adhere to that and have suspected foul play in the entire matter. All of them have urged the authorities concerned to launch a CBI inquiry into the same.
Among them is former Cabinet Minister Subramanian Swamy, who has now appointed a lawyer to look into the case in order to initiate a CBI probe for the same purpose. The politician posts on Twitter, “I have asked Ishkaran to process Rajput alleged suicide matter for a possible CBI case or PIL or Criminal complaint case.” He further writes “I have asked Ishkaran to look into the facts of Sushant Singh Rajput death case and see whether it’s a fit case for CBI investigation. Then accordingly to see justice is done.”
The death of Sushant has also contributed to another controversy about the existence of nepotism in the film industry. Many people even took a dig at other bigwigs in Bollywood, while keeping them accountable for the death of the late star. On the other hand, Sushant’s latest movie Dil Bechara, co-starring Sanjana Sanghi, is all set for an OTT release. A few days ago the movie trailer that happens to be an adaptation of The Fault In Our Stars was rolled out.
