BJP’s aggressive stance increases TMC’s problems

(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) West Bengal: The issue of GST and JEE-NEET exams has given the opposition a chance to unite. The Trinamool Congress, which had kept a distance in the meeting of opposition parties led by the Congress, stood by this time. From this meeting just before the monsoon session, there have been continuous efforts to unite opposition parties inside and outside Parliament, but the Trinamool Congress was absent in the last few meetings.

The Congress strategy is looking at this change in Mamta’s attitude by connecting it with West Bengal. West Bengal has assembly elections next year. BJP is very aggressive about West Bengal. In such a situation, the Congress and the left parties form a united front, then it will be difficult for the Trinamool Congress to Contest the BJP. A party leader said that even if Mamta Banarjee does not form an alliance with Congress, she will trying to contest the Congress alone.

If Congress and the left are united, it can win the trust of minority voters. This will directly harm the Trinamool Congress. This is the reason why Mamta has understood the situation and soften her stance. She wants to improve her relationship with Congress to help stop the BJP. The Congress was excited by the kind of approach Shivsena has taken with the Trinamool Congress in this meeting. A senior party leader said that this would strengthen opposition solidarity.
