(Rishitha Jaladi, Intern Journalist) Amaravati: BJP’s senior leader, MLC, Somu Veer Raju took charge as The Chairman for BJP in Andhra Pradesh. Veeraju will take up the new role soon, said Party’s national chairperson, JP Nadda. Presently, Kanna Lakshmi Narayana was the party head in Andhra Pradesh.
Having 43 years of experience in politics, Veer Raju contributed his best to the party. He was also widely known as the firebrand in BJP. After cutting the ties with TDP, BJP party members couldn’t stand alone in the election race. While YSRCP which grabbed the majority of the seats was moving ahead with innovative strategies. Now, the immediate challenge for Veer Raju is to strengthen the party and make it a strong competitor for TDP and YSRCP.
Veer Raju was from a small village named Katheru in Rajamahendravaram. He worked hard to attain this position today. He was the party backbone and played a crucial role in 2014 Elections. However, the Present Chairman of the party, Kanna Lakshmi Narayana was happy to resign the post. I thank the party leaders for their continues support and motivation. They never forced me to do something thanks for giving me that freedom to work for people, Said Kanna.
