Meanwhile, trains, air traffic, and public vehicles were banned. The same thing happened in Europe, thousands of people got trapped in other countries due to the lockdown. People faced heavy trouble. In such a situation, during the lockdown, a 10-year-old child Romeo Cox took such a step to meet his grandfather, which shocked the world. Romeo traveled 2800 kilometers on foot to meet his grandmother.
During this time Romeo traveled from Italy to Britain. These days the story of this child is being well-liked on social media. Romeo began his journey on 20 June. He traveled from Palermo in Sicily, Italy to London with his father. Both reached Britain during their journey, passing through Italy, Switzerland, France.
The two arrived in the UK on 21 September after three months of running. Both have been placed in isolation on reaching London. Romeo will be able to visit his grandmother only after completing the period of isolation. Romeo and his father have also raised 11.4 lakh rupees (12 thousand pounds) to help the ‘Refugee Education Across Conflicts’ during their journey.
