(Riya Singh, Intern Journalist): In COVID-19 the imagination dimension has found a great outlet. If anything, for many minds around the world the global pandemic has been a blessing in disguise. Because the vaccine is not out at the moment, we just have social distancing, masks, and staying at home at all hours as the only safeguards open to us.
Lockdowns can’t last for too long though. Despite the world economy now still on hold for months, it’s time to recover. Now, several countries are opening up in a shocking way. Public facilities like restaurants, markets, beaches, etc. are permitted to reopen, but inside the premises, they must meet the government standards on health and sanitation.
Not just that, it has become much more important to follow social distancing than before. It is all the more important to wear a face mask. It is not yet advisable to leave our houses, though, until it desperately needs to be done.
A lot of innovation has been done to come up with costumes, masks, etc. to protect oneself from the virus when people step out. Now, while out on a walk in Rio de Janeiro, an elderly couple in Brazil has been spotted in some new ‘space’ fashion. An accountant called Tercio Galdino and his wife, Aliceia Lima are seen in the outfit of an astronaut as they strolled on the beach. Netizens appreciated the creativity underlying this idea.
