(Rishitha Jaladi, Intern Journalist) Vijayawada: A car slammed a duo sitting by the road on Tuesday. The car lost its control and eventually run on to them. One of the victims died on the spot, while the other was critically wounded.
According to the Penamaluru police, Kale Chinna(50) and Vemuri Prasad(54) are sanitary workers at Ganguru. They took a tea break after the work and sat on the footpath for a casual talk. That’s exactly when a car coming from Poranki to Gangur slammed onto them. Chinna died on the spot, While Prasad is taken to Government hospital, Vijayawada. Police took the accused into custody and filed a case against him according to IPC section 304(A) and 337. The case was registered in the Penamaluru Police station.
