Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank tweeted this on September 22, 2020, before the Supreme Court today asked CBSE and UGC to hold a coordination meeting on the date of declaration of result and cut-off date for admission to universities respectively. , So that students taking compartment examinations till 29 September can avail admission to universities. The bench, headed by Justice AM Khanwilkar, took orally observation in September, considering a plea challenging the revision of cutoff dates for admission of the tenth and twelfth-grade students and revising the CBSE decision.

Senior advocate Vivek Tankha, appearing for the student petitioners, had said that if the students taking compartment examinations are unable to avail of the college admission, then the examination will be a useless exercise. He had said, “I want the sympathy of my judge. Make some room for him to get admission. This is his first attempt. This is not his second or third attempt.” The court then released the case on 24 September, Thursday.
