Saloni Subha (Intern Journalist) Central Board of Secondary Education declared class 12 results on Monday. This time also girls outshone boys in the class 12 Examination.

This time there is an increase in pass percentage by over 5%, Due to the pandemic like the situation the board has decided not to declare the merit list. The board has also decided to replace the word “fail” with “essential repeat” so, the term fail will not there in result documents issued to the candidate as well as those hosted on the board website.

The overall pass percentage increased by 5.38% this year. Last year 83.40% of students had cleared the exam while this year 88.78% of students have cleared the exam this year.

Over 157,000 students have scored above 90%, while over 38,000 have scored more than 95% marks. A total of 1.19 million candidates had appeared for the class 12 examination.

The Trivandrum region recorded the highest pass percentage at 97.64, while the Patna region recorded the lowest at 74.57. The board announced the results on the basis of an alternate assessment scheme after the pending exam was canceled due to the surge in COVID-19 cases.
