Rishitha Jaladi(Intern Journalist): HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced that The CBSE syllabus is reduced by 30% for the next academic year 2020-2021 for classes 9-12 on July 7th. This is due to the fact, of reduced classroom teaching hours due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The CBSE has reduced the topics by taking the suggestions from NCERT and made sure that the students are not missing the core contents in all the subjects. Hence, the deleted syllabus will not be included in the internal assessments or in the final summative assessments.

Initially, CBSE reduced the syllabus once in April 2020. But now since the Lockdown has extended, It had to subdue a few other topics. The deleted portions of CBSE class 9-12 can be viewed on the official website of CBSE.
