(Riya Singh, Intern Journalist): Despite the closure on Sunday, city buses, auto-taxis, e-rickshaws, and other vehicles will ply. Keeping in mind the convenience of candidates for B.Ed entrance examination, hotels, restaurants, sweets and fruit shops, general stores have also been allowed to be opened. All shops will be open from six in the morning till night. In order to this effect was issued by ADM City. 37 magistrates have also been deployed to monitor the examination.
The examination will be held at 74 centers in two shifts between nine to 12 in the morning and two to five in the day. DM Bhanu Chandra Goswami said that since the examination will be held throughout the day, there will be relaxation from morning tonight. During this time, shopkeepers and drivers must ensure compliance with instructions of covid-19. Action will be taken against those who violate it.
DM said that necessary steps have also been taken in view of security in the examination. One magistrate has been posted at every two centers. In the meeting held on Saturday, necessary instructions were given to the magistrate and others connected with the exam. DM said that all the centers have been sanitized. After one shift, the sanitization of the center has also been instructed. Candidates have to follow social distancing in the examination hall. Seating of the candidates has also been arranged according to the social distancing norms.
