(Riya Singh, Intern Journalist): On Friday, 15 people died in various districts because of a thunderstorm. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed grief over the death. He has also directed to give four lakh exgratia grants to the dependents of the dead without delay. Six in Vaishali, three in Samastipur, two in Lakhisarai, two in Gaya, and one each in Banka and Jamui were the victims of the incident.
The Chief Minister said that he is with the affected families in this hour of disaster. He has appealed to the people that they should be vigilant in bad weather and follow the suggestions issued by the Disaster Management Department from time to time to prevent lightning. He also suggested to stay indoors in bad weather and be safe.
