Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist) Lucknow: The State Congress Committee has announced a cross-border fight on the growing backward oppression of the state. At the same time, the Yogi government has been accused of sending the party’s Scheduled Castes Department Chairman Alok Prasad and State Congress spokesperson Dr. Anoop Patel to jail in a fake case with political malice. For this, the Congress Scheduled Caste Department will organize a sit-in demonstration across the state on 26 November Constitution Day. The huge Dalit Mahapanchayat will be organized in the capital Lucknow on 4 December.

Congress state president Ajay Kumar Lallu said in the press conference that the incident of putting Alok Prasad and Dr. Anoop Patel in jail is very serious. He said that the state government is continuously oppressing the Dalits and backward.

The arrest of both the leaders is a testimony to this. Alok Prasad’s father has been the late Sukhdev Prasad Minister of State Government, four-time MP, Union Minister, Uttar Pradesh Congress President, Governor of Maharashtra as well as National President Scheduled Caste Department.

Alok Prasad was the District President of Congress twice in Maharajganj district. Lallu said that the truth is that Alok Prasad was agitating for the illegal possession of hundreds of bighas of illegal land situated in Maharajganj of Gorakshanath Peeth, due to which he was sent to false trial jail.

Former minister RK Chaudhary said that there has been a flood of oppression of Dalits and backward in the BJP government. During the tenure of Yogi Sarkar, the basic spirit of the Constitution is being crushed. UP In-charge of All India Congress Scheduled Castes Department, Pradeep Narwal said that on 26 November, the District Magistrates will be presented a copy of the Constitution for the release of both the leaders. Together, a photo of Alok Prasad and Dr. Anoop Patel will also be given.
