(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Jewar: The Greenfield International Airport project to be built in Jewar is now going to get faster. The contract for the project will now be signed between Zurich Airport International AG and Noida International Airport Limited on 7 October. The event will be held in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

It is yet to be decided whether the contract program will be held in Lucknow or Noida. On October 7, Surendra Singh, Special Secretary, Civil Aviation Department, has confirmed the contract. The contract for the construction of Jewar Airport was to be signed in April itself. But international flights took off in the Corona period.

For this reason, representatives of Zurich Airport International AG could not come. Recently in a video conferencing, Additional Chief Secretary of the Civil Aviation Department SP Goyal invited Zurich Airport CEO Daniel Bircher to board the special aircraft in October. NOCs of all departments of the Center and UP have been received for the airport. The construction of the airport will start once the contract is signed.
