( Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist ) : Corona infection is increasing continuously in the country. According to the data released on Sunday, a record of 28,637 patients and 551 deaths have been recorded. How fast the corona has increased in the last few months can be gauged from the fact that on April 27, there were a total of 28380 cases of corona in the country and in just two and a half months, the situation has arisen that so many cases started coming up every day.
According to ICMR, a total of 2,80,151 samples have been tested during the last twenty-four hours, of which about 10.2% have been found positive. As the investigation progresses, the percentage of positive samples is also increasing continuously. Government concerns are increasing this. It is feared that with the continuous increase in economic activity, the transition may increase further in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the number of patients getting healthy is constantly increasing. A total of 849533 people have been infected with Corona so far in the country. Of these 534620 people have become healthy. While 22674 people have died. Thus, the recovery rate is good, which is more than 63 percent. This is a positive sign. Secondly, the daily growth rate of corona infection also remains constant near 3.4.
The uncontrolled situation in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu
Corona remains in a critical state in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. Maharashtra has the highest number of 246600 corona infected. Tamil Nadu is at number two and Delhi at number three. 134226 people have been infected in Tamil Nadu and 110921 in Delhi. There are only three states where the number of corona patients has crossed 1 lakh.
