(Pooja Dubey, Intern Journalist) A total of 51,706 people recovered from Corona in the last 24 hours in a day. This led to the recovery rate of infection on 67.19 percent on Wednesday and the death rate fell to 2.09 percent.
12,82,215 people in the country have been cured of the infection and twice as many people have recovered from the current case of infection. There are currently 5,86,244 infected patients. This constitutes 30.72 percent of the total cases of Covid-19.
The ministry said in a statement, “The number of patients recovering has increased due to the Centre’s policy on more investigation, faster detection of contact with the infected and treatment. Due to the coordinated implementation of the strategy of the governments of the Center and State and Union Territories, the death rate in cases of Covid-19 has been reduced.”
The ministry said, “It is continuously declining and now it is 2.09 percent. The concerted efforts of the government and private sector, the investigation was increased and the infrastructure of hospitals was improved. This helped to improve the recovery rate from 63 percent to 67 percent in the last 14 days. “
The ministry said that more than six lakh samples of corona have been tested for the second consecutive day on Tuesday. So far 2,14,84,402 investigations have been done in the country. There are 15,568 investigations per million population. The number of labs in the country has also been increased. There are currently 920 government laboratories and 446 private laboratories.”
With the arrival of 52,509 new cases of Covid-19 in the country, the number of infected people has increased to 19.08 lakhs. According to the latest data until eight o’clock in the morning, the death toll has risen to 39,795 in the last 24 hours, due to the death of 857 patients due to infection.
