In this context, the Tata Group on Monday launched the Covid-19 early detection kit. According to Tata Medical and Diagnostics Limited, the presence of the coronavirus can be detected in just 90 minutes. That said, it works more efficiently and reliably than it currently has.
Girish Krishnamurthy, the CEO, Girish Krishnamurthy, said, The government has approved their kit, which will provide the final result in 90 minutes. It will be manufactured at the Tata plant in Chennai, South India. It can produce ten lakh test kits per month. He said he plans to partner with several hospitals, various diagnostic centers, and other laboratories to make the test available across India.
“We are trying to make this kit available by next month (December),” Krishnamurthy said. As of Monday, the number of corona cases in the country had reached 8.55 million, with 1,26,611 deaths.
